💫 सोन्याच्या दागिन्यांवर १६ जूनपासून हॉलमार्क बंधनकारक केला असला तरी नागरिकांना त्यांच्याकडील जुने हॉलमार्क नसलेले दागिने विकता येणार आहेत.

💫 व्यावहारिक असल्यास ज्वेलर्स जुने दागिने वितळवून हॉलमार्कसह नवे दागिने तयार करू शकतात, असे केंद्र सरकारने स्पष्ट केले आहे.

🧾 १६ जूनपासून २५६ जिल्ह्यांमध्ये हाॅलमार्क बंधनकारक करण्याची योजना टप्प्याटप्प्याने लागू केली जाणार असून ऑगस्ट २०२१ पर्यंत याचे उल्लंघन करणाऱ्यांवर कोणत्याही प्रकारचा दंड आकारला जाणार नसल्याचे केंद्रीय वाणिज्यमंत्री पीयूष गोयल यांनी ज्वेलर्स आणि उद्योजकांशी झालेल्या बैठकीनंतर स्पष्ट केले.

✨ या २५६ जिल्ह्यांमध्ये सोनारांना फक्त १४, १८ आणि २२ कॅरेटचे दागिने विकता येतील. २०, २३ आणि २४ कॅरेटचे दागिनेही बनवता येणार आहेत.

🖊️ दरम्यान घड्याळे, फाऊंटेन पेन तसेच कुंदन, पोल्की, जडाऊ आदी आभूषणांमध्ये वापरलेल्या सोन्यावर हॉलमार्कमधून सूट दिल्याचेही सरकारने स्पष्ट केले आहे.

🧾 सरकारने २०१९ मध्ये सोन्याचे दागिने व आभूषणांवर १५ जानेवारी २०२१ पासून हॉलमार्क बंधनकारक करण्याचा निर्णय घेतला होता. नंतर याला आणखी चार महिने मुदत वाढवून दिली होती.

🧾 कोरोनामुळे ज्वेलर्स व उद्योजकांनी विनंती केल्याने ही मुदत १५ जूनपर्यंत वाढवली होती.

 Although hallmarks on gold jewelery have been made mandatory from June 16, citizens will be able to sell their old non-hallmarked jewelery.

 Jewelers can melt old jewelery and make new jewelery with hallmarks if it is practical, the central government has clarified.

 The plan to make hallmarks mandatory in 256 districts will be implemented in phases from June 16 and no penalty will be levied on violators till August 2021, Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said after a meeting with jewelers and entrepreneurs.

  In these 256 districts, goldsmiths will be able to sell only 14, 18 and 22 carat jewelery.  Jewelry of 20, 23 and 24 carats can also be made.

 🖊️ Meanwhile, the government has also clarified that gold used in jewelery like watches, fountain pens as well as kundan, polki, inlays etc. has been exempted from hallmarks.

 🧾 The government had decided in 2019 to make hallmarks mandatory on gold jewelery from January 15, 2021.  It was later extended for another four months.

  Due to corona, the deadline was extended till June 15 at the request of jewelers and industrialists.
